Sample Providers

Who takes your Survey?

The most important part of your survey are the people who take your survey. These people might be employees in your company or customers who purchased one of your products.

Sometimes you don't have people to take your survey on-hand. But you need to find respondents, who are qualified in some manner, to fill out your survey. For example, if your company wants to know what the 24-30 age group thinks of your soon-to-be-released product X, then you need a number of 24-30 year olds to take your survey. This is where sample providers come in.

Sample providers and you.

Sample providers supply a list of candidates that meet a variety of criteria that you define. This means that you can tailor the sample of respondents to your specific needs.

Once you have come to an agreement with your sample provider all that remains to be done is to get those respondents to your SuperSurvey survey, and to make sure that you can match each respondent to a set of results.

What you need is a tracking system.

Using Custom Keys.

Fortunately, the Custom Key feature does exactly what you need.

While creating your survey, you will be asked for a Key Type. Make sure you select Custom Keys. Next, your sample provider will give you a set of keys (sometimes called id's). After you activate your survey you enter that list of keys and then you're ready to go.

Your sample provider will send respondents to your SuperSurvey survey. These respondents will use their key to access the survey. The survey results for each respondent will include that key. Now you know exactly which respondent answered which question.
