General Terms:
- Refunds for unused portions of subscriptions will be issued at the request of the customer.
- Refunds can be requested through email.
- Subscriptions will be refunded based on the number of days remaining in the subscription time period or based on the number of unused responses, whichever is the least amount of money. See Subscriptions Refund Examples below.
- Refunds will be in the form of a check or credit-card, based on the initial customer payment.
- If it is not possible to issues a credit-card refund, then a check will be issued.
- Refunds will be processed within a few days but allow up to 90 days.
- Refunds will NOT be issued if it has been determined that the account is being used in a manor not in agreement with the User Agreement.
Subscriptions Refund Calculations:
- Subscription refunds are based on the amount of unused time or responses, whichever is less.
- Calculation for unused time
- Days Unused / Totals days in the cycle * The amount of the subscription.
- Calculation for unused responses
- Number of Unused Responses / Total Responses in the subscription * Subscription amount = unused response refund
Subscriptions Refund Examples:
- Example 1.
- A Yearly Medium Usage subscription is purchased with 60,000 responses for $299.00.
- The customer cancels after one month of usage and they have only used 1000 responses.
- The refund will be calculated as follows..
- Refund based on unused days: 335/365*299 = $274.43
- Refund based on unused responses: 59000/60000*299 = $294.02
- The refund would be based on the unused days which is $274.43
- Example 2.
- A Yearly Medium Usage subscription is purchased with 60,000 responses for $299.00.
- The customer cancels with 10 days remaining in the subscription and they have used only 500 responses.
- The refund will be calculated as follows..
- Refund based on unused days: 10/365*299 = $8.19
- Refund based on unused responses: 59500/60000*299 = $296.51
- The refund would be based on the unused portion of the days which is $8.19
- The number of unused days is used because the service was made available to the customer for 335 of the 365 days
- Example 3.
- A Yearly Medium Usage subscription is purchased with 60,000 responses for $299.00.
- The customer cancels with 335 days remaining in the subscription and they have received 50,000 responses.
- The refund will be calculated as follows..
- Refund based on unused days: 335/365*299 = $274.43
- Refund based on unused responses: 10000/60000*299 = $49.83
- The refund would be based on the unused responses which is $49.83
- The number of unused responses is used since the customer did use the service to collect 50,000 of 60,000 responses
