Q. How long will it take me to launch a survey?

A. For a simple one-page survey with a few questions, you can be up and running in 10 minutes. For a lengthy survey, with complex question types, image displays, and secure encryption, survey design might take proportionately longer. When survey design is complete, survey deployment and results viewing happens in real-time.

Q. Are there limits on storing surveys or results?

A. At SuperSurvey, we have no limits on survey size or length. And unlike our competitors, who erase your survey results after some expiration date, we keep your survey and results on file as long as you have an account with us -- or until you choose to delete them.

In fact, we don't limit your survey at all -- every survey has unlimited total results. For no additional fee, premium surveys can collect up to 2,000 responses per week (higher-volume users please contact us for discounted bulk rates).

Q. Do you provide "pools" of survey respondents?

A. We partner with a number of firms who can provide you with an appropriate sample for your surveying needs, based upon demographic and other criteria. Please contact us so that we can put you in touch with the right provider.

Q. What are the technical requirements for using SuperSurvey?

A. There are no downloads or special requirements. Survey makers need only a modern Web browser (Internet Explorer version 5.x recommended) with cookies and JavaScript enabled.

However, anyone using any web browser -- even text-based -- can take a survey (no cookies or JavaScript are required for survey takers). We do the technical work on our powerful servers. You get a better, more representative response, since more users can take your survey with ease.

Q. Do I need to download software? How about my survey's respondents?

A. No. Software downloads are never necessary. Survey makers (but not respondents) do need JavaScript and cookies, which are built into all modern browsers (Netscape or Internet Explorer version 4.0 or higher).

Q. I've heard that survey experts disagree about the Internet's usefulness.

A. A Web survey will never represent the "general" population. Web surveys can only reach people on the Web. Of course, phone surveys only reach people with phones, mall surveys only reach people who shop at malls, etc. For more on methodology, please read our methodology FAQ.

However, the Internet is extremely useful when the people you want to reach are online. For example, if you want to survey employees of a nationwide IT company, or e-commerce consumers, the Internet may be the only feasible way to do so. Also, online surveying can save time and money for both survey makers and takers.

Q. What do you do about security and privacy issues?

A. We take security and privacy very seriously. We have published Security and Privacy Policies, which we adhere to scrupulously. Also, we provide a choice for survey makers to help ensure the privacy of survey takers, whereby we act as a netural third party blocking collection of extra information (e.g. IP address, email address) from respondents.

Q. How much do SuperSurvey's services cost?

A. Please check our current pricing sheet. We have a straightforward pricing system, so you know what you will pay up-front, without having to guess how many people will take your survey. Q. Do you offer bulk/educational/government discounts?

A. We do offer substantial discounts for qualified academic, educational and government users. Customers interested in such discounts or in bulk pricing should contact us at service@supersurvey.com.

Q. What payment types do you accept?

A. Premium surveys are charged weekly to Visa, MasterCard, Amex or Discover. Qualified business and institutional customers can arrange for email or paper invoicing on net-30 terms.

Q. Why is my survey SILVER?

A. You can always check what premium features you have used by checking "Details" from My Surveys. However, we also include a common scenario below.

Situation: you have created a survey without premium features such as security, LOGIQ™ skip conditions, Anonymous protection, or advanced key access control, yet it shows up as SILVER. The probable cause is that you are storing your questions on multiple pages of the survey, which enables LOGIQ, a premium (SILVER) feature. Please check to make sure that all your questions are on one single page. In most cases, shorter surveys not using skip LOGIQ actually benefit, gaining a higher completion rate by staying on one page. If your survey is longer or more intricate, consider upgrading to receive the full benefit of multi-page surveys and LOGIQ.
