Activation is the process in which the survey is made ready to collect responses. Until a survey is
activated, it cannot collect responses, and only the creator of that survey can view it. Activation
is the step at which the service for a survey is purchased.
Surveys are activated either for a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 week span, or continuously (until deactivated).
While a survey is active, it can receive responses, but it cannot be edited, in order to protect the
integrity of your results.
Deactivation of a survey stops results from coming in, and stops billing of any further weeks. If the
survey has been set for a certain number of weeks, it will automatically deactivate at midnight on the
last day of the last week.
Billing
At SuperSurvey™, surveys are billed weekly for each week or
portion thereof. Upon activation, one week of survey time is charged for that survey. Billing for
subsequent weeks happens at midnight, one week from the activation date (survey makers get the benefit
of the doubt for extra hours). Billing stops recurring either at the end of a pre-sent run time, or
upon deactivation, depending on the user's choice during activation.
Credit card billing is charged immediately to Visa/MC credit and corporate/business cards (PO number
inclusion is available for corporate cards). Invoicing occurs on the first of the month and is
payable on net-30 terms.
Distribute
The Distribution Manager screen is where you can choose means for inviting respondents and controlling
survey access. For a keyed survey, you must visit Distribution Manager to set valid keys for use with
that survey. You can also distribute e-mail invitations using our automated invitation system.
ID Numbers
Each survey is assigned a unique ID number. If you need to correspond with us regarding a particular
survey, it is helpful to note the ID number to assist us in tracking the survey within our system.
IP Address
An IP Address is a numeric code which identifies each computer connected to the
Internet. SuperSurvey™
does not release individual IP addresses to survey makers.
Keys
Keys are the means by which survey takers are given permission to take a controlled-access
survey. Survey makers choose which type of key method is right for them.
My Surveys
My Surveys lists all of the surveys you have created,
with brief information about the status of each. From My Surveys, you can choose to:
Packages
Our pricing packages are designed to give flexibility to
survey makers. We offer four levels of service, automatically priced based on feature usage:
Privacy Levels
Two privacy levels allow survey makers to give extra confidence to survey takers, by interposing
SuperSurvey™ as a trusted insulator between surveyor and repsonder.
"Regular" privacy level is the normal level -- no special guarantees are implied by the individual
level. Survey makers are allowed to gather individually identifying information from respondents.
"Anonymous" privacy level is an enhanced privacy level. Survey makers must agree not to attempt to
gather individually identifiable information from respondents.
SuperSurvey™ insulates takers from makers by discarding identifying information, such as the
"key" used
by the respondent, or his IP address, helping to guard the respondent's anonymity. Survey takers should
still be aware that entering personally identifiable information will circumvent the additional
aggregate privacy. Concerned users should consult our Privacy
Policy.
Promotional Code
From time to time, SuperSurvey™ holds promotions involving discounts for our
services. If you are a government, educational, or bulk surveyor, you should contact us at
service@supersurvey.com to inquire about special rates.
Responses
The number of responses to a survey is roughly equivalent to the number of returned copies of a paper
survey. Responses are counted when the last page of the survey is submitted.
BASIC (free) surveys are limited to 25 responses. Premium surveys may receive unlimited
responses, up
to 2,000 responses per week. Customers expecting more than 2,000 responses per week should
contact
service@supersurvey.com to arrange for a bulk rate.
Responses may be viewed in Results Viewer, and are kept securely in our databases for as long as a
user maintains his account with SuperSurvey™.
Run Time
Run time is how long a survey remains active.
When you activate your survey, you may decide if and when it should stop accepting responses (i.e., when
it should be deactivated). Your choices are:
Security
A secure survey may only be taken via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). SSL is the method of
encryption that is used for financial and credit-card transactions as an industry standard. Using SSL
for a survey protects both the survey questions and the taker's responses. Some customers use SSL to
protect proprietary or confidential information, such as might be found in market research surveys.
Upgrade
Normally, SuperSurvey™ determines the appropriate package based on feature usage. Surveys which
do not use premium features are categorized as BASIC. However, since BASIC surveys are limited to
25
responses, some customers choose to upgrade BASIC surveys to SILVER in order to receive unlimited (up
to 2,000 weekly) responses. Upgraded surveys are considered premium and are billed the same way
as
SILVER surveys (see Packages).
All key methods except for "No keys" are premium features. Anonymous privacy level is only available
for Single and Auto-generated keys.
View our current pricing sheet for details on package
costs.
Billing follows our standard policy, no matter which run time length you choose.
