TS2 Custom Neighborhood - Aileen Landing (by Jawusa)

1. Have you played in the inhabited beta test version of Aileen Landing?
Yes, I have.
No, I haven't.
2. Have you also downloaded the default sky mod for Aileen Landing? (Which was also responsible for custom weather skies during snow and rain which made these sun eclipse, planetrise scenarios, etc.)
Yes, I have. And it didn't bother me that it also replaced the skies in other neighborhoods too. I just took the mod out or used skyboxes to cover the green sky once I played in different neighborhoods.
Yes, but I didn't like the fact it also affected other neighborhoods, so I deleted the mod.
No, because I didn't like the fact it also affected other neighborhoods, so I either skipped it or used another alien-looking skybox to go with Aileen Landing. I didn't care much about the custom weather skies.
No, I prefer to keep my game as CC-free as possible.

3. Have you played the premade families in Aileen Landing? If yes, did you play all of them or did you skip some? (Please write the name of the families in the "Other" section if you skipped some).
No, I downloaded the empty version of the neighborhood and made my own sims.
No, I didn't download the inhabited version, because I didn't like the CC (4 extra alien skintones) that came with the neighborhood. I'd have downloaded it if it were CC-free like the empty version.
Yes, I played all of them and I think the amount of families is just right.
Yes and no, I skipped a few families because there were either too many families or they were boring.

4. Speaking of families, did you like seeing descendant sims travelling to Aileen Landing from various neighborhoods (ie. Pleasantview or Strangetown)
Yes, though the descendants could have been in further future. It seemed still up-to-date.
Yes, it was a nice mix of native sims and the "alien" (=human sims in this case). I liked the idea of human visitors and seeing familiar faces.
No, I wish there weren't any "aliens" (=human vistors from ex. Pleasantview) in Aileen Landing. Or at least only a few (1 to 3 sims only!)
No, but I liked the idea of having native and human sims in the neighborhood. I just wished that these human sims were unique and not descendants of EA's sims.

5. Speaking of families, did you like the "murder" storyline of the native sims in Aileen Landing? Could you solve the mystery? Was it too predictable?
No, I completely ignored the storyline and created my own concept based on the sims living in the neighborhood.
No, I couldn't solve the murderer mystery, because it was too puzzling. But I liked to play the sims' stories anyway.
Yes, I could solve the mystery, though it was too predictable, I didn't like it.
Yes, I loved the storyline, it was challenging to solve, but it was interesting to get to know these sims.

5. Now, for the lots in the neighborhood. What is your overall impression? Did you like the lots? And most importantly, did you enjoy playing in these lots?
Yes, they were quite unique and interesting to play! I had no problems playing in more exotic lots.
Yes, I liked them, but I placed down my own lots into the neighborhood. While they looked unique, they weren't really playable for me.
No, I didn't like them quite. I wish some of the builts were less complex and easier to play.
No, I bulldozed the whole neighborhood in order to create my own lots in the neighborhood.

6. Now comes the last question. If the creator of the neighborhood recreated the whole neigborhood, is there anything you would request to be changed? (I'm open to all suggestions :P)
No, I think the neighborhood is good as it is now. I'd like to see the final version of the neighborhood soon.
I'd request a no CC-free version. I didn't like the extra alien skintones. I understand that the creator aimed variety, but I'm completely fine with just the default alien skintone. The faces are already unique, so the sims are distinguishable.
I'd request fewer families. It took forever to get to play each family and wouldn't mind some of them being changed into townies. There were too many families in my opinion.
I'd request less complex lots. While they look unique and all, it's no use having them in the neighborhood if you can't really play them. They are just decorative lots and there are too many of these.
I'd request a simpler storyline. It's too much connected in my opinion. The family tree is a mess and doesn't improve at all as you play in the neighborhood...
I'd request a sky box version of the Aileen Landing sky. I understand that it'd lose its functionality with these custom weather skies (solar and lunar eclipse, planetrise, various moons, etc.) but at least it wouldn't affect other neighborhoods like the default sky mod.
